GREEN, Ohio — A 55-year-old woman involved in a single-car crash was hospitalized Tuesday for life-threatening injuries after she walked into traffic on I-77 and was struck by a truck, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
On Tuesday at about 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to I-77 north in the City of Green.
The 55-year-old female driver exited the vehicle and was interviewed by deputies about the crash. A deputy then spoke to other drivers who witnessed the crash.
While the deputy spoke to other witnesses, the female driver walked into the right lane and was hit by an incoming Dodge Ram truck, according to the sheriff.
She was taken to Summa Health Center in Akron for life-threatening injuries.
