A man was caught on video kicking in the door to a home in Green in an attempted robbery.
Summit County Sheriffs are investigating a series of similar burglaries that have happened across Green and Coventry Township.
In the video, recorded on Oct. 9 around 8 p.m., a man can be seen ringing the doorbell before momentarily leaving the porch and returning to deliver two kick to the front door. He walked into the house and police did not say if the man stole anything.
Police say the man's method of breaking and entering matches reports of similar burglaries in the area. The burglaries have been happening during the day or evening. Police say people have been knocking on doors to check the if the homes are empty before breaking in and stealing jewelry, cell phones and other valuables.
The man in the video is described as being about 6 foot tall, having a heavy build, and wearing black clothing and a black cap.
