TWINSBURG, Ohio — No need to do a double take, the news is true—Twinsburg's 46th annual Twins Days Festival known around the world is returning in 2021 after canceling the event in 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns.

The famous festival will take place in Twinsburg on Aug. 6-8.

Each year, twins and multiples from all over the world gather in Twinsburg to celebrate the uniqueness of multiple births while also giving back to the community with research grants and college scholarships. An estimated 20,000-30,000 people attend Twins Days Festival each year, bringing in millions of dollars to the local economy. The Twins Days Festival is recorded as the largest annual gathering of twins in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Last year's theme was "The Roaring Twinties" but since it was canceled, the theme is carrying over to this year, the festival's committee said.

The event may look different from previous years in some areas as the event will work under state guidelines and be coordinated under the guidance and support of local school, government, health and safety personnel to ensure the safety of all those who attend.

Details of the guidelines and event activities will be posted on the Twins Days Festival social media pages.

The festival committee intends to have all of the schedules, events and protocols finalized by July 1 so those looking to attend can properly prepare for their visit.
