NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio — A person has died after a boating accident in the Tuscarawas River, according to News 5's media partners at the Times Reporter.
New Philadelphia Police Chief Michael Goodwin said a man reported seeing two people go down the river around 3:15 p.m. near the Mill Avenue Bridge.
Police found one person across the river, who told them the other person was not breathing.
A good Samaritan perform CPR, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
