A 17-year-old is in custody after allegedly stabbing two other teens on Tuesday at a restaurant in Rittman, a small town in Wayne County just south of Medina.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. at Burger King, 206 North Main St., according to a police report.
The manager told police she had just ordered a group of juveniles to leave the store when a 17-year-old threw his soda in the face of a 14-year-old and then stabbed him, the report said.
The 17-year-old told police everything started when the 14-year-old came up to the table where he was sitting with his girlfriend and took a fry from him.
The report states the 17-year-old told police he thought he was about to get jumped so he threw a soda in the younger boy's face, stabbed him and then left the restaurant.
The older teen later told police that once they were outside a 13-year-old grabbed him by the hair and he retaliated with a knife but "blacked out" during the incident.
According to the report, the 13-year-old victim's nose was nearly severed from his face.
Police recovered a knife from a nearby garbage can. The report states the older teen put the knife in the garbage because he "didn't want to get arrested."
The 17-year-old was charged with felonious assault and tampering with evidence. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center pending a future court date.
The 13-year-old was transported to Akron Children's Hospital. The 14-year-old was treated on scene by EMS and released.
