CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred in Wayne County Sunday afternoon.
Around 12:38 p.m., a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south on Coal Bank Road in Chippewa Township when it traveled across two sets of railroad tracks, drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a concrete barrier, troopers said.
The driver of the Chevrolet was 41-year-old Joshua Robinson, of Akron, according to troopers.
Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash and that Robinson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
