WAYNE TOWNSHIP — A man and woman from Wooster were killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The man and woman have been identified as Aaron W. Torrence, 38, and Tiffany E. Curtiss, 39, troopers said.
According to OSHP, the two were traveling in a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Mechanicsburg Road just North of Varns Road around 1:38 a.m. when Torrence drove over the center line, over-corrected and went off the roadway. The Jeep struck a guardrail, went airborne and then hit an embankment and overturned.
Authorities said the two were not wearing seat belts when the crash occurred. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.
According to OSHP, this was the third fatal crash in Wayne County this year.
