WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 24-year-old woman was killed Tuesday morning in a two-car crash in Wayne Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The woman has been identified as Angela K. Patterson, 24, of Navarre, Ohio.
The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on Back Orrville Road west of Honeytown Road.
Authorities say that Patterson was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu east on Back Orrville Road when she went left of center and struck a 2019 Chevrolet Volt head on that was heading west.
The Volt’s 68-year-old driver sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, authorities said.
Patterson was pronounced dead that the scene. Authorities said she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and alcohol is not thought to be a factor in the incident.
The matter remains under investigation.
