WAYNE COUNTY, Ohio — A woman has died after a four-vehicle crash in Wayne County.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. on State Route 585 near State Route 94 in Chippewa Township.
34-year-old Karlene Rantamaki was driving a blue 2001 Chevrolet Malibu. A silver 2015 Honda Pilot, blue 2017 Subaru Legacy, and blue 2016 Chevrolet Equinox were also involved in the crash.
According to troopers, Rantamaki was driving southbound on State Route 585, while the other vehicles were headed northbound.
Troopers said Rantamki drove left of center, swiping the Honda and Subaru. After the crash, her vehicle slid sideways and struck the Chevrolet.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Honda were transported to Akron General Hospital, meanwhile, a child in the vehicle was transported to Akron Children's Hospital.
No others were injured in the crash.
