SUGAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A thief stole over $800 worth of colostomy medical supplies from a woman’s porch in Sugar Creek Township in Wayne County earlier this month.
A woman called the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 11 and told them that UPS delivered medical supplies worth $800 to her front porch in a brown box on Feb. 7, according to an incident report. A couple hours later, she arrived home, and the delivery was not on her porch.
The woman asked around, but her neighbors did not see anyone taking the package. She told officials that she had contact the medical company and they were sending her a new shipment of supplies. She said the new delivery will require a signature, and a deputy recommended that all future packages require signatures as well.
