FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 69-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash early Friday morning in Wayne County.
The woman has been identified as Beverly E. Graybill, 69, of Franklin Township.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, it appears Graybill was heading north on Nonpariel Road in a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country when she ran a stop sign at the Moreland Road intersection just before 6 a.m. A 28-year-old man driving east on Moreland Road in a 2003 Ford E350 van struck Grabill's vehicle, causing it to slide off the road and hit a nearby house. The impact also caused the van to veer off the road and hit a tree, troopers said.
Graybill was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. She was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the crash.
The Ford driver, a 28-year-old man from Wooster, was treated for minor injuries. He was wearing a seat-belt when the crash occurred, troopers said.
The crash remains under investigation, but authorities said drugs/alcohol do not appear to have contributed to the crash.
