CANTON, Ohio — The GlenOak Ladies Basketball Team is headed to the 2019 Ohio High School Athletic Association Girls Basketball State Championships for the first time since 1990 and to make sure students can attend, Plain Local Schools is canceling school throughout the entire district.
Brent May, Superintendent of Plain Local Schools announced that all buildings in the district will be closed on Friday, March 15 in order for students and staff to attend the state tournament in Columbus.
May said he wants a “large and extremely loud crowd” cheering on the Lady Eagles.

The Eagles will open the tournament with their game against Mount Notre Dame.
The 2019 OHSAA Girls Basketball State Championships takes place March 15 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus at 6 p.m.
