Police investigating after one person is shot and killed, another one injured on Quincy Avenue

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating a shooting that killed one man and injured another person late Thursday night.

According to police, two men, both approximately 19-years-old, were shot while inside a minivan parked on Quincy Avenue near East 93rd Street around 11:10 p.m.

Police said one of the men died at the scene and the second man was transported to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center by Cleveland EMS and was last known to be in critical condition.

Authorities say the man who died had been shot in the head. The man who was injured sustained a gunshot wound to his back.

Quincy Avenue was closed between East 89th and East 93rd streets while police investigated the scene.

No suspect information or the identities of the victims have been released.
