COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man wanted for a Canton homicide that happened last month has been captured by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Dometrious Boles, 31, was tracked to the Columbus area and arrested in Westerville Wednesday, according to authorities.

Boles is accused of fatally shooting Jermaine Gaitor, 36, at a Canton car wash with an assault-style rifle and a .45-caliber handgun in front of the man’s wife and children, authorities said. He also allegedly shot another person in the leg and tried to shoot two other women.

“Diligent work by the Canton police department and swift action by the two fugitive task forces led to a safe arrest of this extremely violent individual,” U.S. Marshall Pete Elliott said.
