Some Spectrum customers across Northeast Ohio experienced issues with their video service Thursday evening, causing customers to wonder what was causing the outages.
The issue impacted around 260,000 customers, according to a Spectrum spokesperson. The issue was a software process fail, which caused boxes to go into a boot cycle.
Spectrum said it was aware of the issues and technicians were working to fix the problem. A Spectrum spokesperson said the problem was resolved around 2:00 a.m.
We are currently aware of video service issues impacting customers in the Northeast Ohio region. Thank you for your patience while our technicians work diligently to resolve the matter.

Customers took to social media with frustration after Spectrum originally would not give any more information about the outage. After hours, the company simply said what it had already told customers, that it is aware of the problem and technicians are working to resolve the issue.
give an estimated time of return service. Just saying that it's being worked on is not really acceptable.

Wow thanks for the update that was the exact same update an hour ago. I just hope the people running this twitter aren’t the ones working on the problem or way may never get our service back
