CLEVELAND — With flowers blooming and trees awakening from their winter slumber, many are turning to gardening as a way to spend the extra time during the stay at home order. Urban Planting Cleveland is bringing the greenhouse to customers by making deliveries of various plants to homes.
Residents across Northeast Ohio are taking advantage of the time at home by getting their gardens ready for the warmer months ahead.
The business specializes in a range of indoor plants with various care levels, tailoring their business to those who have limited space.
But Elio Calabrese, owner of Urban Planting Cleveland, said a small space can still allow you to grow vegetables.
Calabrese is providing vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, lettuce and other varieties that are easy to grow in a smaller area.
"This time of year is important to us because people are starting to go back outside. So, they'll get more ornamental things or start getting plants to decorate their patios. Growing herbs and vegetables," Calabrese said.
While Urban Planting is closed for business, they are offering a drop-and-dash delivery method. They will email you an invoice of plants and pots that they have available and the customer will provide their address and any other special instructions for delivery.
Urban Planting Cleveland is offering delivery to Cleveland and surrounding areas for free within 5 miles of the shop and a small fee outside that range. Customers can ask about their locatios as they have gone as far as Akron, Eastlake and Hiram.
