On Friday, police say an elderly person drove into a Maple Heights Key Bank.
The person went through the ATM line and then exited the lot, which required a turn around the building, police said.
The driver claimed a book fell onto the gas pedal and drove the car into the building near the entrance doors, police said.
There is extensive damage to the building, but no injuries have been reported, police said.
