WATCH LIVE: Workers hold vigil for Lordstown GM plant expected to stop production

Workers of the General Motors Lordstown Complex, along with their families, will gather outside the plant to hold a “Vigil of Hope” and say a prayer for the future of the GM Lordstown plant Thursday at 3:15 p.m.

Workers and their families, along with members of the community, were invited to light a candle and say a prayer for the city and the GM plant to show support for the people who will be affected by the factory stopping production.

The Lordstown GM plant is expected to cease production in March of 2019 after over 50 years of operation. According to a spokesperson for GM, the plant will be unallocated, which means it will no longer produce vehicles in 2019.
