PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office made an adorable rescue Friday and one of the deputies has a new addition to his family as a result.

Deputies were conducting a business check at Tripoint Medical Center when they were informed that a kitten had crawled into the engine compartment of a nurse’s vehicle and was trapped.

After deputies were unable to retrieve the kitten, they called a nearby towing company.

Bob’s Garage and Towing headed to the scene to help remove the kitten from the engine and with help from hospital workers, the kitten was able to be freed from the vehicle.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said the kitten was unharmed and one of their deputies has since adopted the kitten and said that his daughter will be a great “big sister.”
