SWANTON, Ohio — Ohio National Guard airmen returned home from their overseas deployment this week.
Airmen assigned to the Guard’s 180th Fighter Wing were greeted by family and friends at the base in Swanton, Ohio Tuesday after spending months overseas.
The airmen were a part of several individual, six month-long Agile Combat Support deployments as well as a three-month Aerospace Expeditionary deployment.
Throughout 2020, more than 400 Stinger Airmen deployed to seven countries with the the U.S. Central Command region.
As they stepped off the plane, the airmen were all smiles as they ran to embrace their loved ones waiting for them on the tarmac.
