AKRON, Ohio — Update: Akron police have located a 71-year-old man who went missing after walking away from his home Sunday night.

A Missing Endangered Adult Alert has been issued by the Akron Police Department for a 71-year-old man who left his home and never returned.

The missing man, 71, of Akron walked away from his home located at Berry Avenue Sunday night and never returned.

Police said he has dementia and are concerned for his safety.

He is described as standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 220 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 911 or at 1-866-693-9171.
