Dozens of people turned out in Brunswick Saturday night for a doggone good time and for a good cause.

A fundraiser at The Eagles Club on Pearl Road was held for Emmitt, a three-legged dog in need of a wheelchair.

Emmitt was hit by a car when he was about six months old. The accident left both of his front legs were fractured.

Unfortunately, Emmitt was not taken to a veterinarian in time and after a surgery, it was decided he had to have his left front leg amputated.

That's when Buckeye's Missions and Sanctuary in Brunswick stepped in and made it their mission to help Emmitt be mobile again.

The non-profit group held the fundraising to try and raise money for a specially fitted front wheelchair to help Emmitt get around.

The group is hoping to raise $900 for the chair. You can help Emmitt get his wheelchair by clicking here.
