CLEVELAND — On Wednesday, local and federal law enforcement officials will hold a news conference to give an update on the unsolved double homicide of Kate Brown and Carnell Sledge at the Rocky River Reservation last summer.

Representatives from the FBI, the Metroparks Police Department, Crime Stoppers and family members of Brown will attend.

The victims' bodies were discovered at about 5:30 p.m. on June 4 after police responded to a report of two deceased people in the Rocky River Reservation, just north of the Lorain Road Bridge.

Sledge was found outside in the grass off the Valley Parkway, and Brown, was found in the water near the Valley Parkway.

Officials said the two had been friends for over 10 years.

Police said they have received tips since the murders, but no arrests have been made. In the last update, a $20,000 reward was being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
