An Air Quality Advisory has been issued for several counties in Northeast Ohio through midnight Saturday.
The alert is for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit counties.
According to the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), the air quality levels are unhealthy for “sensitive groups” such as children, the elderly and individuals with breathing difficulties.
NOACA is urging everyone to reduce air pollution by taking alternate forms of transportation such as biking or walking or public transportation. Other tips include turning off your engine instead of letting it idle, refilling your gas tank after sunset and holding off on mowing your lawn.
