Calling all criminals: Cancel your illicit activities because you, too, don't deserve to be cold

COSHOCTON, Ohio — With the weather being bone-chilling, annoyingly cold, even criminals need to take a break from doing illicit activities — well, that's what the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office wants them to do.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the sheriff's office said they are canceling all criminal activities because of frigid weather.

"However, if you want to turn yourself in on a warrant, our jail is a balmy 72 degrees and we will provide free transportation! Okay, okay, I stole it from Franklin County but it was so funny I couldn't resist," the post said.

So, instead of going outside and doing something illegal and getting frostbite, because that's a real thing, turn yourself in if you have a warrant or let law enforcement and first responders stay as warm as possible.
