CELINA, Ohio — Celina was hit by more storms after a Memorial Day tornado ripped through the city.

Resident Gerald Vian's house was ripped apart around him. Vian and his wife barely made it to the basement.

"Then we heard the kaboom, and we knew we were done," Vian said.

The tornado's path hit through their neighborhood and practically cut homes in half.

On Tuesday, residents attempted to save what they could of their homes after the tornado before the next storm.

"I’s almost eerie, as the rain started, we heard a beeping. We followed it, turns out it’s a smoke detector still attached to the ceiling. That ceiling though, is in a pile on the living room floor," Vian said.

Vian said he has already found an apartment to stay in while he rebuilds his home.
