CLEVELAND — The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services will be finishing system updates sooner than expected.
According to ODJFS, 95,000 more people will be able to begin claiming unemployment benefits as early as this weekend.
The following updates will happen on the following dates:
- On January 31, there will be an additional 11 weeks of Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation. Eligible Ohioans will receive $300 FPUC payments.
- On Feb. 6, new Pandemic Unemployment Assistance applications will be accepted.
ODJFS is currently paying unemployment benefits to more than 245,000 Ohioans.
