FRANKLIN, Ohio — An Ohio police department used Facebook to recover a disabled man’s stolen bicycle in a matter of hours.

The Franklin Ohio Police Department posted a photo of the man with the missing bike to their Facebook page on Friday. The post was shared hundreds of times.

Within an hour of posting the photo, someone out looking for the bike saw it in the back of a vehicle. The person followed the vehicle and called the police. Officers were able to locate the vehicle, recover the stolen bike and return it to its owner.

The man’s bike is his only means of transportation, other than walking, according to police.

Franklin Ohio police said criminal charges may be filed as they continue to investigate the incident.
