LOGAN, Ohio — There is evidence that a falling log that killed a 44-year-old woman in Hocking Hills on Sunday “was not a natural occurrence,” according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The incident happened Monday around 5:30 p.m. on the stairs near Old Man’s Cave.
The woman, later identified as Victoria Schafer, of Chillicothe, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
