NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — One of America’s favorite pastimes, drive-in movies, will soon be available for everyone to enjoy. North Ridgeville’s Aut-O-Rama Drive-In Theatre, 33395 Lorain Road, announced it’s planning to open on May 12.
The movie theater said new policies and procedures will be implemented to ensure the safety of guests and staff who come to the drive-in.
The business is not allowing any buses or large groups into the drive-in. All occupants inside a vehicle must be from the same household.
Patrons will have to buy tickets at pre-sale as there are no in-person ticket booths at this time.
In order to provide the option of a completely contactless experience, Aut-O-Rama is temporarily allowing outside food and beverage to be brought in. Concessions will be open in a walk-up window style, as they help keep them afloat, the business said.
Patrons will have the option to order food from their phone and guests can pick it up at a designated pick-up location.
As reminder, patrons are asked not to leave any trash on the ground.
Everyone coming to the drive-in is encouraged to wear a mask and practice social distancing, even while standing in line for the restroom. There will be Porta Pottys available on site to help with restroom congestion and social distancing.
Midway Drive-In in Kent announced they would be opening on May 15.
