It’s been a difficult several weeks for businesses across Northeast Ohio as they battle the storm created by the Coronavirus pandemic, but one local gas station appears to be weathering that storm.
We first told you about Gary’s Marathon in Lorain back in March. At the time, we showed you how owner Gary Luman was going above and beyond to help put his customers at ease. He cleaned the gas pumps and even pumped gas for customers who didn’t want to get out of their cars.
Luman tells News 5 that after initially slowing down, business is now picking back up.
“We've been chugging along,” says Luman. “We've been staying steady, we've been picking up the last couple of weeks since the weather's gotten a little nicer, things have been coming around, we're happy to see things coming around."
Luman adds he did it without needing to apply for loans or grants.
