CLEVELAND — A dog training center set to host its grand opening had to get creative amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Sits ‘N Wiggles Pet Care n Training is a positive reinforcement training facility intended to be low stress and provide a friendly environment for both dogs and their owners.
The training center said it does not use choke, slip, prong or shock collars, which are all methods of training used to teach pets what to not do in hopes of avoiding pain. Instead, it uses food and play to help teach pets.
Due to the pandemic, the training center decided to get creative and rather than hold a traditional grand opening will instead hold a virtual one on May 23.
It has also started virtual training sessions with dogs and plans to incorporate those types of sessions for those interested even after the brick and mortar facility opens.
Sits ‘N Wiggles Pet Care n Training is set to open on June 1 but a first look at the center can be seen on its Facebook page.
The facility will be located at 9535 Midwest Ave., Suite 102 in Cleveland.
