When Ohio shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, L’nique lost every order booked from March through June. That’s because the company supplies linens for events. It tells News 5 it was even lined up to do the table service for the Rock Hall inductions.

The company had to lay off its staff, and then a nurse friend suggested making masks. The Cleveland Clinic helped to design one, and L’nique was off on a different path.

The company started supplying health care companies and has expanded to essential businesses.

L’nique says one healthcare systems wants them to make 150,000 masks a month. If that contract comes through, the company will be able to hire back everyone on its staff.
