CLEVELAND — Most entrepreneurs know owning a business means dealing with bumps in the road every now and then, but Peter Brown, the owner of Six Shooter Coffee, is dealing with a bigger bump than expected.

Six Shooter Coffee is located on 16021 Waterloo Road in Cleveland. On Saturday, an unidentified driver was making a right on E. 161st Street and, instead, slammed into the side of Six Shooter Coffee and sped away.

The shop had extreme damage; it needed a new wall and replacement windows. It has been closed for about a week now.

The shop is re-opening Friday, but Brown is putting his people before profits despite a significant loss.

Today all of the sales from the merchandise, koozies and stickers, will be going to his half a dozen workers who lost a week’s worth of wages and tips.

“We are very close, and we all care about each other, so it was the obvious decision to make for me,” said Brown. “I wanted to make sure everyone does have good holidays.”

The coffee shop is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
