BEACHWOOD, Ohio — The City of Beachwood is offering a helping hand to residents struggling to make ends meet during the coronavirus pandemic.

The city is now offering to Beachwood households that are stretched to the limit a COVID-19 care package.

Residents who are experiencing financial difficulties will be able to pick up, at no cost, a package with masks, hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, paper towels and toilet paper.

It’s available to anyone who lost their job or is having trouble affording childcare or personal expenses.

“We're concerned about residents that have lost their jobs as this pandemic goes on that are afraid to go out and don't have anybody and this is just a small way of saying we are here we want to help,” said Beachwood Mayor Martin Horwitz.

Residents can request a COVID-19 Care Package for pick-up from Beachwood Community Services at 216-292-1970.
