KENT, Ohio — The Haymaker Farmers’ Market in Kent has a special offer for families struggling to put food on the table.
This Saturday, the market will offer vouchers worth up to $40 to buy fresh fruit and vegetables for eligible families.
Eligibility requirements include:
- annual income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level
- has a minor child in the household and/or is pregnant
- is a U.S. citizen OR meet of the citizenship exceptions under Ohio Administrative Code 5101:1-2-30
The market also accepted the Ohio Direction Card and will match the purchase made using SNAP dollar-for-dollar up to a set amount each week.
