CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians’ Spring Training trucks hit the road Friday afternoon, marking the first sign of baseball season for the Tribe.

Gear was loaded onto the trucks at Progressive Field Friday morning before they departed for Goodyear, Ariz. around 1 p.m.

The trucks are expected to arrive at the Spring Training facility on Tuesday.

Spring Training is just around the corner with pitchers and catchers scheduled to report to Goodyear on Feb. 17. Their first workout will be held on Feb. 18.

The remaining players will report to Goodyear on Feb. 21 with the first full-team workout scheduled for Feb. 22.

While Spring Training is on as scheduled, there will be changes to this year’s start of the season.

Unlike in years past, fans will not be able to attend workouts at the Cleveland Indians Player Development Complex. A decision on fans attending preseason games at Goodyear Ballpark has not been made.
