CLEVELAND — When you carry out a prank on your friends, you hope it works. In the case of second baseman Jason Kipnis and pitcher Mike Clevinger, their prank on outfielder Tyler Naquin didn't go as planned.
Kipnis and Clevinger got the idea to prank Naquin after they were inspired by similar videos of the same prank on their Instagram newsfeeds.
The prank is simple. You get someone to hold a cup of water against the ceiling with a broomstick. Then, you leave them there, so if/when they move, they get hit with the cup of water.
Kipnis and Clevinger thought they could pull this trick on Naquin, but they were sorely mistaken.
When Naquin let go of the broomstick, he pulled off a miracle escape and caught it.
