Chief Wahoo will retire from Indians uniforms following the 2018 season, but the Indians' classic logo remains popular with fans. One local designer has just the thing for them.
"Hiding Wahoo" was created by John Pope, who tells News 5 the shirt is available for sale through his design company, Jetfire Creative. The popularity of the shirt caught Pope by surprise. "Oh, boy. I wasn't expecting this," he said in reaction to all the attention his design has received.
The shirt sells for $25. The Jetfire website says: "The chief has gone into hiding for the unforeseeable future. Maybe you'll run into him at your local Finast Market, or at the 2018 Home Opener next Friday!"
