At long last, Indians activate Andrew Miller from disabled list

Posted

The Cleveland Indians activated relief pitcher Andrew Miller from the disabled list on Friday and designated pitcher Zach McAllister for assignment. Miller has been out since May 26 with right knee inflammation. The Tribe bullpen has missed him dearly.

Miller missed 72 games this season on two separate trips to the disabled list, and let's all hope that's the end of that.

The Tribe also had an update on outfielder Tyler Naquin, who underwent surgery at the Cleveland Clinic for a stress reaction in the right hip area. Naquin required three screws to stabilize the injury. He is expected to return to the field in 6 to 10 weeks.
