CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians announced on Monday that Tribe Fest 2021 has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The popular annual event allows fans to meet players and participate in family-friendly activities before the start of the baseball season.

“Keeping the safety and health of our fans, players and front office personnel top of mind, the Cleveland Indians will not be holding Tribe Fest in 2021,” the team said in a statement.

The Indians said that the fans are deeply missed and the organization is “hopeful to see fans back at Progressive Field next season in 2021 and bring back Tribe Fest in January 2022.”
