Cleveland Indians pitcher Danny Salazar shared a message with fans after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on Monday.
Salazar took to Twitter to announce he will be out the rest of the season while also thanking fans for their endless support through what he says has "been one of the hardest moments of his career."
Thank you everyone for your prayers and good thoughts, can’t describe in words the way I feel when I see all the support that I get from a lot of you. #GoTribe #goindians @indians pic.twitter.com/M7SI9AhGb2

Salazar, 28, was an All-Star for Cleveland in 2016. He's had problems with his elbow and forearm in recent years, according to ESPN. Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure that surgeons use to visualize, diagnose, and treat problems inside a joint, according to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
His message is another testament to the commitment Northeast Ohioans have for their teams in moments of trials and tribulations.
