CLEVELAND — Cleveland Indians pitcher Mike Clevinger underwent surgery Friday after he sustained a left knee injury while training at the Goodyear Development Complex in Arizona on Wednesday, according to the team.

Clevinger was diagnosed with a partial tear of his medical meniscus, requiring surgery.

He arthroscopic surgery was performed in Avondale, Arizona.

The Indians said he is expected to return to game activity in 6 to 8 weeks.
