The Cleveland Indians have sent Francisco Mejia to San Diego in a trade for Brad Hand and Adam Cimber from the Padres.
Hand, an All-Star reliever, signed a three-year extension earlier this year for $3.5 million for 2018, $6.5 million for 2019 and $7 million for 2020.

The deal also has a $10 million club option for 2021, according to MLB.com.

Hand is a 2x All-Star with 46 saves and a 2.66 ERA with San Diego in 3 seasons.
