CLEVELAND — With #CookieStrong trending on Twitter since Carlos Carrasco revealed he was diagnosed with leukemia, the MLB said they are planning on recognizing him appropriately during the All-Star Game.
They would not elaborate on what they plan on doing for Carrasco.
Following the report of Carrasco’s leukemia diagnosis, Indians fan Jeff Sustarsic took to Twitter to start a movement in support of Carrasco.
Sustaric tweeted “Petition for Carlos Carrasco to throw out the first pitch at the All Star Game... to show that this whole city and all of Major League Baseball are behind him in this,” which garnered the attention of thousands on the site.
