After giving up two runs during the fifth inning against the Royals, Bauer threw the ball into the netting behind home plate out of anger after the play, according to MLB’s Indians beat reporter Mandy Bell.
When manager Terry Francona came out to the mound to make a pitching change, Bauer became visibly upset and launched the ball over the center field wall.

According to Heyman, Bauer will not face a suspension for the incident.
During a Tuesday press conference, Terry Francona said he hasn't heard anything about disciplining Bauer.
"People are going to make mistakes," Francona said to News 5 sports reporter Derek Forrest. "Where do you go from here? Do you make it better or make it worse?"
