CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — Indians mascot Slider surprised some adorable little Indians fans Wednesday morning.
Shelby Heppner, a teacher at The Kids Club, Inc. in Chagrin Falls, sends a Slider Build-A-Bear home with one of her Pre-Kindergarten students each week.
Each child keeps the Slider Build-A-Bear for a week, reads the story Heppner sends along with the plush toy and then puts an entry in a journal. The Slider plush also is a part of the classroom’s story time and activities.
Wednesday morning, the children got to meet the real Slider when he surprised them in their classroom, bringing their Build-A-Bear Slider activities to life.
