CLEVELAND — On Saturday, the Tribe announced right-handed pitcher Adam Plutko was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for cash considerations.
Plutko, 29, was selected by the Tribe in the 11th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft.
In 2016, Plutko made his Major League debut with Cleveland as a relief pitcher.
During his four seasons pitching in the Majors, Plutko has compiled a 5.05 ERA with a 13-12 record in 50 games and 217.1 innings pitched. He's recorded 156 strikeouts in that time.
Last season with the Tribe, Plutko pitched in 10 games, recording a 4.88 ERA in 27.2 innings pitched with 15 strikeouts and a 2-2 record.
The Tribe recently made several opening day roster decisions as they prepare for their first regular season game on April 1 against the Detroit Tigers.
