CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians took fans on a trip down memory lane on Twitter Friday evening.
The team posted a video of shortstop Francisco Lindor in their June 14, 2015 game against the Detroit Tigers.
The video shows Lindor record his first major league hit, and the hilarity that followed it.

Four years ago today, in Detroit, we discovered just how much of a gem @Lindor12BC was after he recorded his first Major League hit. 😂 pic.twitter.com/O9x4nYOdNb

Lindor seemed to be so excited about his deep hit into right field that he stumbled past first base while appearing to attempt second, tripped and fell.
Umpires initially thought that Tigers’ first baseman Miguel Cabrera might have caused Lindor’s spill, but after a replay it was clear it was just his extreme enthusiasm.
Coincidentally, the Indians are playing the Tigers again, four years to the day, Friday evening.
If nothing else, the video is a good reminder of why Cleveland loves Lindor so much.
