Indians’ second baseman Jason Kipnis once again gave back to the fans with his annual shoe toss at noon Tuesday.
Kipnis cleared out player lockers and tossed signed shoes, bats, gloves and more to adoring fans at Progressive Field.
Kipnis announced the annual shoe toss on Instagram Monday:
The annual gear giveaway is happening a little sooner than Kipnis would have wanted after the Indians fell to the Astros in Game 3 of the ALDS, as he tweeted on Oct. 8:
Definitely not good enough nor the finish we wanted this year.. but I just had to give you Cle fans your props today! Not even counting the ones that left early (that’s on us the players). You guys were so far and away louder than the first couple games! You did your part. ThankU
